Group Wise Information

  • Bart Basile is a computer systems specialist for the Department of Agricultural Economics. Among other things, he works with setting up your GroupWise accounts. Contact him via GroupWise with any questions.

  • If you have not done so already, activate your NetID/Neo account at https://neoweb.tamu.edu/admin/activate.php. You will need it for many things...

  • If you need to report a problem or need to request help, click here. It explains how to use Groupwise to send a support request.

  • E-mail can be accessed easily from home by going to the GroupWise WebAccess page, http://ag-eco.tamu.edu, using any web browser. Simply use your GroupWise loginID and password for access. Check this account often, as departmental and possibly class-related e-mail may be sent here. This is independant of your TAMU Neo account.

  • If you would like, you can install the GroupWise client on your personal PC. You can use the GroupWise software just like you do in the Blocker building, connecting over the Internet. You will need at least 50MB of free space on your hard drive for the installation.

  • Students can purchase some types of software inexpensively at the TAMU Student Software Website: http://software.tamu.edu/. Products like Microsoft Office, and the Windows operating system are available at a low cost- and some packages are free to students, such as McAfee Antivirus.
